The “Módica” single tube hanging basketball goal was designed and created to be installed hanging from the ceiling at any sports facilities. An anchor system attaches the goal to the structure of the facility, adapting to each facility it is used in. All the dimensions and specifications for this product have been drawn up in line with the requirements of European Standard EN-1270. The single tube goal consists of the following main components: The main arm (pole) of the hoop is made from 100 x 100 x 3 mm square structural steel sections. The upper part includes the pivot point, enabling the whole hoop set to go up and down. The reinforcement side arms help to brace and stabilise the whole goal set. The drive motor is the cable that raises and lowers the goal. It runs from the goal motor (on the upper front section of the additional structure) to the anchor point on the main arm. The side cables are the ones that provide stability to the hoop when it is position for playing. They are attached from the upper front section of the auxiliary structure to the anchor point on the main arm. The backboard support structure is where the backboard and ring are installed. All the metal parts are covered with epoxy paint. This coating provides these elements with a high level of resistance to corrosion and ultraviolet rays, as well as protecting from mechanical impact.
